Building Compliance Officer

An exciting and challenging role for an experienced individual has become available in Council's Compliance and Enforcement Team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a motivated and results-focused team at the Manawatu District Council.

You will be responsible for assessing compliance for building warrant of fitness renewals, liaising with building owners, carrying out building warrant of fitness audits, fencing of swimming pool inspections and associated enforcement action.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a good organiser with excellent communication skills and a desire to provide a high-quality customer-focused service.

Experience with building compliance and inspections within a compliance/regulatory environment and working within the New Zealand legislation and enforcement framework are essential.

The salary range for this role is $60-$80k, plus a range of benefits including flexibility, a family-friendly environment and support for fitness/wellness.
