Infrastructure Planning Officer
An exciting new role has become available in the Council's Infrastructure team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a motivated and results-focused team at the Manawatū District Council.
We are in search of an experienced Planner with proven ability in a range of resource consent preparation to join our Infrastructure team in an exciting time of growth and development in our district. You will prepare resource consent applications and notices of requirement to lodge with either the territorial authority or Regional Council on behalf of the infrastructure team. You will also be assessing, reviewing, and processing resource consents on behalf of Infrastructure and assisting in the associated compliance functions for the infrastructure area.
We need you to have relevant experience and skills such as:
- Extensive knowledge of the Resource Management Act
- Between 5-10 years practical experience in resource management consent processing
- Proficient computer skills
- Proven report writing and verbal presentation skills
- Competence in preparing evidence and presenting at hearings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to embrace change and continuous improvement
- Ability to develop good working relationships both internally and externally

The salary range for this role is $78,900 - $106,700 (midpoint $92,800) depending on level of experience
