Operations Manager

About the Role
As the Operations Manager, you will lead and manage the Operations Team, which includes water and wastewater treatment plant operators and reticulation team. You'll work closely with the Utilities Management Team to define, scope, and deliver innovative Three Waters projects while providing technical oversight of our water treatment assets and reticulation networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Provide clear direction and leadership to treatment plant staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Develop team skills with tailored development plans.
- Project Delivery: Scope and manage Three Waters projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and community outcomes.
- Compliance & Oversight: Ensure adherence to Taumata Arowai drinking water standards, Horizons Regional Council resource consent requirements, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Budget Management: Collaborate on the development of operational and capital budgets and ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
- Contract & Resource Management: Oversee contracts, resources, and activities to maintain the physical capacity and compliance of Three Waters treatment assets and reticulation networks.
- Health & Safety: Promote and enforce robust health and safety practices across all operations.

The salary range for this role is $109k - $148k (midpoint $129k) plus a range of benefits including flexibility, a family-friendly environment and support for fitness/wellness.
