The Role
As a Stormwater Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing stormwater systems to meet regulatory standards and community needs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions that address flooding, water quality, and sustainability challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee stormwater management systems, including drainage networks, retention ponds, and green infrastructure.
  • Conduct hydrology and hydraulic modelling to assess stormwater flows and system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations regarding stormwater management.
  • Develop project reports, feasibility studies, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on stormwater impacts for land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, focusing on water quality and resource management.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years practical experience in stormwater industry
  • Solid understanding of stormwater regulations, drainage design, and hydrology principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

The salary range for this role is $97k to $131k (Mid-point $114k). We also offer a range of staff benefits, including 5 weeks' annual leave for all staff.
