Help ensure the restoration, management, and enhancement of one of the Manawatū District's little gems!

Manawatu District Council established the Awahuri Forest Kitchener Park Trust in 2014 to assist in the governance of the ecological restoration, management, and enhancement of the land at Awahuri Forest Kitchener Park both for our community to enjoy and for educational purposes.

We are seeking individuals who can provide governance with an interest in the environment and the Manawatū Region. If you can tick off a few of the skills and attributes listed below we would be keen to hear from you!

We will also be seeking a new Chairperson in the future, so there may be an opportunity to step into this role if you have the potential and are interested in leadership. A small honorarium is paid to our trustees to acknowledge their valued time commitment and expertise.

How to Apply

What happens next?

We will send you an email confirming we have received your application.  Once the recruitment closes, our interview panel will then review all the applications.  If you are successful in being short-listed for an interview then a member of our friendly People and Culture team will contact you with your interview details including if there is any practical exercise involved with your interview.  If your application is not successful in getting an interview then you will receive an email from us advising you of this.
