Plant Nursery Assistant - Fixed Term Maternity Cover

Feilding, New Zealand

Reference: 6832238

We've got an awesome opportunity at the Manawatū District Council for someone who loves plants, the outdoors, and being part of a hard-working team!

We're looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our Kawakawa Nursery team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover: 37.5 hours per week (negotiable), Monday to Friday role. The hourly rate for this role is $25.76 - $31.05

If you're passionate about growing native plants, helping with restoration projects, and don't mind getting your hands dirty (rain or shine!), this could be the perfect role for you.

You'll need to be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors, and it's a real bonus if you have some experience or knowledge in plant production and ecological restoration. But if you're just starting out in horticulture and keen to learn -we'd love to hear from you too.

Because we maintain an inventory management system, use agrichemicals, and weigh seed, good practical arithmetic skills are essential.

This is a great chance to join a friendly team that manages the nursery and restoration work for the Manawatū District, so don't delay apply today!
