The Manfeild Park Trust is seeking applications from talented, committed and forward-thinking individuals to join its Board of Trustees.

Manfeild Park is one of New Zealand's most diverse events and recreation venues, hosting nationally significant motorsport, equestrian, agricultural, community and commercial events. Located in Feilding, Manfeild is a strategic regional asset that contributes to the economic, social and cultural wellbeing of the Manawatū region.

The Trust is seeking two new trustees who can contribute to the governance, strategic direction and long-term success of Manfeild.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from experienced governors and emerging governance leaders who can bring skills, expertise and fresh perspectives to the Board.

In this recruitment round, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Strategic and commercial leadership
  • Business development, sponsorship and revenue growth
  • Marketing, brand development and audience growth
  • Events, tourism and venue management
  • Financial management and commercial oversight
  • Property, infrastructure or capital project governance
  • Community, stakeholder and iwi engagement

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong strategic thinking and sound judgement
  • The ability to contribute effectively in a governance environment
  • A collaborative approach combined with independent thinking
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

A commitment to the future success of Manfeild and the wider Manawatū region

The Role

Trustees are responsible for providing governance, strategic direction and oversight of Manfeild Park Trust. The Board works closely with management to support organisational performance, manage risk and ensure Manfeild continues to deliver value to its stakeholders and the community.

Trustees are expected to attend regular Board meetings and participate in strategic planning, governance workshops and other Board activities throughout the year.

The positions are remunerated, with trustee fees currently set at $18,000 per annum.
