Regulatory Support Officer

At Manawatū District Council, we're on the lookout for an adaptable and highly organised support officer to join our Regulatory Team.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • A mix of experience, initiative, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with confidence and precision.
  • Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
  • The ability to build strong, service-focused relationships across teams and with external stakeholders, ensuring a positive and professional experience at every interaction
  • Strong IT proficiency and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and digital tools

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience in local government and a strong understanding of the services councils provide to our community
  • Proven administrative experience in a regulatory setting - exposure to Building Control Accreditation (BCA) processes will be a real advantage

The salary range for this role is $60k - $73k with five weeks' annual leave - because work-life balance matters.
